Good Morning!
As my mind began to wander yesterday, as it so often does, I started thinking about food (again, as I so often do). I began thinking about peoples' behaviours around the dinner table and how they differ from person--or rather family to family. I grew up where the dinner table was just another place to test your newfound knowledge against the knowledge of others. From debates over Russian military equipment during WW2 to whether Romans ever farmed a certain type of chicken in 100 AD, very rarely did we ever sit in silence. So I got to thinking how, maybe, you can learn a lot more about someone just from how and where they like to eat their meals. Just a little thought. On to more food...specials...
Baby Spinach and Goat Cheese Omelette
Spicy Black Bean and Tomato Soup
Carrot and Zucchini Muffins
Banana Bread
Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Good Morning!
It's Friday and it's pretty damn dreary out there. Not so dreary in here. We've got Miss Charlotte serving today, I'm in the kitchen and we have Joel Plaskett keeping us company on the stereo. A couple of things. ONE: Glory FC had a less than triumphant return Wednesday (we lost...again...I cannot tell you the score because I stopped paying attention to the scoreboard after awhile). We are, however, still hopeful this will be the season for Glory. It was, after all, an 11:15pm game with most of our longtime players MIA. TWO: Well...I do not really have a second thing to mention...so I will just go right to specials...
Mushroom and Goat Cheese Omelette
Tomato and Spinach Soup
!!French Toast Special Alert!! /w a Blueberry Sauce
Hope to see you today!

Happy Friday!
Some big news here at MG. First off the resurrection of Glory FC is upon us. Yes. I imagine it will be as awkward and as terrifying and Frankenstein's first steps. Maybe even a few villagers will chase us off the field with pitch forks(!)..who knows. I am excited though, and will be sure to keep everyone updated. Secondly, whoever cut me off yesterday while I was on my way to the bank (you know who you are ON hydro van guy)....not cool, man...not cool. Last but most certainly not least, MG will be losing one of her VIP customers. Yes, one of our very own Gilead'ers will soon be leaving the confines of our little lane way to pursue the world outside and will be missed. MG wishes you and your bride-to-be much happiness. Just remember...You be careful out among them English.
Specials....
Zucchini and Goat Cheese Omelette
Butternut Squash and Fresh Tarragon Soup
Blueberry and Oat Muffins
Everyone enjoy your day,
hannah

Morning Morning Morning!
I have recently discovered a British car show by the name of Top Gear. It plays on BBC Canada at 5pm. I have to say I have not laughed so much in a long time. Even when sitting in the living room by myself I can't help but slap the pillow next to me as a cry with laughter. Seriously, check it out. Also there's a pretty awesome cover of Bob Dylan's "All I Really Want to Do" by Cher...I am listening to it right now...check that out also. On to the specials of the day...
Fresh Baby Arugula and Cheddar Omelette
Potato and Sage Soup
Banana Muffins
Fresh Cookies and Brownies
Enjoy the lovely day and hope to see you!

Hi ya everyone!
Humankind has always been plagued with questions...What is the meaning of life? What lies beyond the universe? Will Archie choose Betty or Veronica? Well one of the questions was finally answered in the Archie comic issue #600. Yes, Archie chose the bossy brunette, Veronica. Was I shocked? Not terribly. Men always say they like Veronica over Betty. Here's the thing...men always say they want a Veronica until they realise she would never make them a sandwich nor put up with watching any type of playoffs. All of a sudden they want Betty. Just saying...I noticed a trend...on to specials!!!
