we are finally seeing some warm weather. it supposed to rain for the next few days unfortunetely, but at least it isn't snow. i think it is supposed to be nicer toward the end of the week. maybe you will even see our patio come to life!

Muffins : Blueberry or Spelt Chocolate Chip (Doug made them)

so where is this big snow i've been hearing so much about? it seems pretty warm out actually. i'm not going to get too excited about that though. this winter has proven to be sneaky and mean whenever i get my hopes up about spring. we are trying to blog ahead of time now to ensure that you know your specials bright and early!!! :D

hello! It's quite cold out there today, but how lovely is it to see the sun? Marvelous! No matter how cold it gets, having the sun shine down on you makes all the difference.

Ok, the phone is working again, the computer is working again, the hot water tap in the prep kitchen is working again and I'm working again.

The omelette is pear chutney and brie, the pancakes are apple, the soup is garden vegetable with pasta and we're all out of muffins but we have Hannah's chocolate chip cookies.  Tomorrow's omelette is sweet potato and goat cheese,  the waffles are back with sausage and apple-pear compote.  The weather is supposed to be bad but if you can make it down here it'll be cosy, loud and delicious.

Spring is near! I was able to walk to work today without my mittens on! Isn't it nice when you can walk into work and your face isn't frozen to the point of being numb?
