wooo! The blog is being done and it's before 9 30! Well I am proud of myself. So it's very close to Christmas and I have bought one present so far. Yes, I am one of those people that leave it last last minute. I am sure I will see quite a few of you out there on Christmas Eve. Anyway, this will be our last blog until after the holidays. Don't forget we are closed tomorrow, but open Saturday and Sunday. Specials...

The omelette today is dill cream-cheese and tomato, it's a bit of summer on quite a wintery day

Soup of the day is tomato vegetable

We have apple pancakes, banana oat or mango muffins and lots of hot drinks to wash it all down

Good morning all. Lovely weather we're having. I don't want to hear any complaining 
about the conditions. Like I told Jacki this morning, if Kevin Frankish can come all the way from
Barrie, then anything is possible. Oh Kevin Frankish, is there anything he can't do?

The omelette is fresh mixed herb, tomato, cheddar and truffle oil.  The muffins are zucchini raisin or Hannah's banana spelt.


The soup is mexican tomato, I'm not sure if they even make this in Mexico and is it 
culturally insensitive to name it mexican just because we put corn and chilli powder in it?  
Is "culturally" a word and if so, have I spelt it correctly?


The pancakes are raspberry spelt.  I've changed the recipe slightly, let me know what you think.  I think it's a great day to come in and have a coffee, it's cold out there.  

Hey Alice Berg at The Mercury, thanks for the lovely hot chocolate.  It made my walk to work.

Hello out there, old man winter is back and he's being quite the @#$%$#@!!! already.  Thankfully I have new winter boots so I can trudge to work in relative comfort.  I shall put some Ron Sexsmith on my ipod and that will warm my soul and perhaps I'll get through another $%&^$#@**! winter.

The  muffins today are zucchini flax or mixed berry

The omelette is zucchini, mushroom and cheddar

The  pancakes are blueberry

The soup is Jacki's potato and spinach, very hearty and yummy

Good morning! Hope everyone is enjoying the snow. I know I am though, unfortunately, Jackie is not. Not to fear, she will change her opinion once we get her some new boots and a toboggan. I also found out yesterday that James Barber has died. If you are unfamiliar with the Urban Peasant than you sound research him. I found him to be quite an inspiration when I was younger.
