it's monday. it's myself and tara here today. of course hannah is in the basement baking los of great stuff as well.

sweet potato leek soup

fresh farmers market sausage patty, dill cream cheese and lettuce on a toasted ciabatta bun

apple pancakes

we also have a few chocolate chip almond muffins left and a few raspberry banana muffins


well i guess that's all for now. it's a chilly day, so come and warm up!

Hi all. Sorry for the absent blog yesterday. We had some technical difficulties. Nice day today. I quite enjoy these days when the sun is shining and there is a crisp breeze. Lovely.

It's very quiet here today, the rain must be keeping people away.  Melissa our newest server is starting today and I trust you'll be as welcoming to her as you've been to all our staff.  Seems like a bit of a revolving door these days.

Todays specials are:

mango-chocolate chip or zucchini flax muffins

blueberry pancakes

tomato spinach soup with white bean and pasta

croque monsieur (grilled ham and Swiss gruyere cheese with dijon mustard on sourdough bread)

mushroom and goat cheese omelette

It's a nice day to come in, get cosy and sip a lattee or a nice tea.  

By this afternoon Hannah will have baked a fresh batch of cookies, keep a nose out for them.

Good morning! Not much to report today. Looks like we are finally getting some good old fashioned fall weather. I'm still not convinced, however, to unpack all my warm clothing.  
I feel that doing so would tempt the gods even more and BOOM! 40 degree weather again.

it's friday! we will be closed this sunday and monday for thanksgiving. we will, however, be open tomorrow. i think i already mentioned this earlier in the week. but it doesn't hurt to mention it
twice! today is the roast beef sandwich challenge. hannah and i have each come up with a different 
roast beef sandwich and we are going to see which one sells the most.

oh hannah, how i enjoy your random small talk. well it's thanksgiving weekend coming up. it seems the older i get the faster time is flying by. i kind of hate it. anyway, we will be closed the sunday and monday of the long weekend. but, we will be open on saturday. it will be heidi and i throwing down. it will be a good day to come in because the girls are waaaay better cooks than the boys. ya, that's right, i said it.
