it is very humid out today. it makes me medium cranky. where is the nice fall weather? it is very confusing when the weather is not matching up with the season. i get dressed every morning and often by the end of the day i am wearing the wrong type of clothes. also, i just took my air conditioner out of the window. now i wish it was still there. oh blog, i wih you could help me. well i guess you are helping me by posting the specials, which are:

Good morning! Well almost. I broke my old Cole Porter album this morning. Very upsetting. It fell right out of my hand and a big chunk broke right off! If anyone knows of any way to repair these old records let me know....there's a free cookie in it for anyone who helps *wink wink*

hello! i know this blog is late again, and unfortunetely i don't have any pictures of me and little harvey jacob to post because i have not met him yet!! it will happen eventually though i just know it. okay special things today:

Congratulations to James and Trish! They had a baby boy yesterday morning. All is well, mummy and baby are doing fine. I am seeing the baby today and will be able to give an update tomorrow. On to specials...

We just hired Tara a few days ago and today is her first weekday shift.  Tara is very nice and experienced waitress and we think she's fitting in great.  

You may have heard that my wife Trish is due to have a baby any minute.  
When she does I will be taking a month of to be with her and our child.  I'm very much looking forward to taking time off, but I know I will be leaving 
you in very capable hands.  Of course Jacki will be here, Doug will be back in the kitchen
a couple of days a week and  Heidi will be back cooking on saturdays!  It'll be just like the old days for those of you who remember. We'll just get the wait staff to slouch around in silly hats rolling their eyes and it will be Morning Glory Old School.

Stay dry and carry change.

It's back to school and the Inglenook kids are, true to form slouching in late with coffees and cigarettes.  Kids jut love coffee and cigarettes.  The kids love them almost as much as the guys who hang out in front of the methadone clinic all morning, who I wish we could ship off back to school, or prison.  I know, tolerance, community, blah blah blah but after a year of them stealing tips, mooching coffee, panhandling, passing out in or messing up our washrooms my patience is running a bit thin. So there, I'm angry.

The omelette today is sauteed leek and cheddar, the soup is Hannah's awesome curried potato and raisin.  The muffins are zucchini or banana chocolate chip and the pancakes are apple.

The coffee is hot and Cam is cool, I'm grumpy but I can still cook the best f---ing breakfast this end of the city.
