helloooo world..
mm. how is everyone? isn't it jusst beautiful outside today?..ahh, i don't know why i ask these questions, ..i mean, it's not like i expect an answer..
james is currently in the kitchen, he is grading potatos, ..they got a B+.
the following items are VERY special and not like the other things that are on our menu:

soo tasty i could spontaneuously combust at any given moment, but then, couldn't i spontaneuously combust anyway? ..even if the specials weren't all that tasty? spontaneous combustion is a
fascinating thing, i wonder why there are so few reports of this actually happening.

...well, here's something: i play in a band called foxfire forest, and we're playing a show on saturday at the NOW lounge (church & dundas) this saturday with our good friends, mariposa. It is mariposa's cd release show and they're a great band.. soo you should definetly come out and buy a cd..
our other good friends, barons & lengthy, had their cd release show last night at the drake, and you should defeinetly see them when you get the chance..

mmm, it's a bit colder outside today. here are warm specials:

holy geeez, i'd go for the sandwich, but it's a pretty hard choice to make..
...it's very quiet right now, and we have cat power on the stereo.
it's straange how once it gets warm for about two days after a long chilled month, and you believe that you can wear your spring jacket for the rest of the year. it's funny how deceiving it is here in the t.dot.

Organic chocolate-chip or peanut butter cookies
An order of pancakes here generally pretty big anyways, and the date pancakes are turning out to be especially huge. Until now, in two days I hadn't seen anyone eat more than two out of the three, but a small girl who looks to be about five years old just basically finished hers. Sometimes children will
really surprise you with how much they can eat. I can remember being about four and thinking it was unfair that my parents always got bigger portions of things just because they were bigger than me.

The first days of warm weather are always funny because of the variety of clothing choices that coexist out on the street. Yesterday I was still wearing my winter coat and hat and scarf, as were lots of other people around me, but Jacki saw a girl in a strapless sundress and flipflops and I saw plenty of t-shirts without jackets at least a couple of guys in shorts. And for those few transitional days (although I don't think this is really the transition to Spring, since it is going to get cold again), pretty much you can wear whatever you want and it all kind of looks normal.

this coming wednesday a band by the name of foxfire forest will be having their cd release show for their debut cd, it's happening at the drake underground. the cover is five dollars, and the cd is ten dollars, there are two other fine bands playing earlier in the evening their names are 'tropics' and 'entire cities' and they're both fabulous. soo be sure to come out nice and early!

none the less... there will be someone here on both saturday and sunday slaving over a hot stove to make you breakfast so don't have to lift a finger on your 2 glorious days off.

nb... we've made a slight change to our menu to combat the white, under ripe, sorry excuse for tomatoes that seem to get shipped to us during the godforsaken winter season. all sandwiches will now come with lovely italian sun dried tomatoes that have been packed in sunflower oil (word to our neighbour, jamie kennedy, for the tip). we'll return to using fresh tomatoes once the weather warms up and ontario starts producing the great tomatoes that it does. so far, the feed back so far has been nothing but favorable. so come in and give it a try, and let us know what you think.
also... if you haven't heard yet... as of last monday, pancakes are now available monday to friday...
... pancakes, they're not just for tuesdays anymore!

well we survived the big ice storm of 2007. we are here, and we are open. there is a hydro pole stuck on vicki's house. but, we still have muffins. they are: banana flax and pumpkin millet. get them while they last though! they are quite popular on this icey march morning. we also have: a cheddar and baby spinach omelette (always a favourite) and tomato rice soup. if you can bear the puddles you should come on in and have a nice breakfast or lunch, or perhaps brunch. it's cam and i here for now. doug will be back later. cam is learning to peel potatos. i am pretty impressed with the outcome. i might teach him some other stuff later. muahahaha..
