Hello!
We have 2 banana muffins left so you beter hurry in if you would like one!
The omelette is roasted red pepper and parmesan cheese.
The soup is a white bean and kale.
We have a lovely spicy roast beef sandwhich with mango mustard on a toasted ciabatta bun with soup or salad for $7.00.
Yummy homemade chocolate and walnut brownies for $2.00 a square.
So I have this problem of falling asleep during rented movies. Good or bad. I can fall asleep during them no matter what time of the day it is. So let me know how I can fix this little problem of mine. I end up returning the movies before I finish watching them!
I need help!

It's been a busy morning so I apologize for the tardiness getting the specials posted. At least the computer is working today, I managed to fix it by actually plugging it in.
The omelet is sauteed red pepper and real parmesan cheese.
The muffins are all gone!
The soup is Jude's homemade garden vegetable, and who thought the hopeless little case was so good at making soups? I love that guy!
I've got some lovely homemade lamb and pork sausage patties that I'm serving on a toasted ciapatta bun for 5 bucks.
It's Tuesday and the pancakes are Ontario peach.
I'd like everyone to know that I'm an uncle now, well I'm and uncle in spirit to Zoe and Cohen, my two little pals in Calgary but as of Sunday evening I'm a real uncle to Daniel Lee my nephew. He looks just like his mom and dad and weighed in at six and a half pounds. He's so tiny and cute! Mom is doing great and is very happy to have him out in the world rather than in. Dad is tired and grumpy...nothing new there really, but very proud.
I could go on but I have to get this posted and get back to cooking

Well, better late than never I guess. You can blame it on the not so new girl, that's me. You may be asking yourself why I've never done this typing thing before and the answer is because I've been too chicken. If you haven't been asking yourself you can return to your buisness, but before you do, have a look see at the yummy specials for the day.
We have a Croque Monsieur (that's francais for a grilled swiss cheese with ham and dijon) with a cup of soup for $6.
The omlette is spinach cheddar.
There's only one banana walnut muffin left but don't fight over it.
And finally the soup is Lentil.
Well, that wasn't so hard was it? Mabey I'll be doing this thing a little more. See ya.

Whoa! (say in annoying voice like that guy on tv) We've had a busy morning!!!! Which is a very good thing! Kristan had to hustle. So I will keep this short because I have to go and replenish my stock!
The omelette today is mushroom and cheddar.
We have blueberry muffins. Kristan says that it is her favorite so far.
The soup today is lentil.
I get to sleep in tomorow, which is very exciting! What should I do this evening? Anyone want to join me for a pint?
Oh yes and we have a bacon, brie and tomato sandwich for $5.00.
Or maybe I should go and see a movie. Any suggestions?
Have a wonderful day! Have a safe journey back to Ottawa Michele. I will miss you very much.

woo hoo! I made it to work on time! So I treated myself to some baguette fresh out of the oven with a half pound of butter and some yummy Ontario honey. Have I told you how much I love our baguettes? Maybe I'll take a baguette home and stick it under my arm and pretend that I just left a lovely bakery in the North of France somewhere, like let's just say Strasbourg or Colmar maybe?!
Enough of my daydreaming. I guess you would like to know our specials for the day. So here they are!
The omelette is grilled vegetable and parmesan cheese.
We have some lovely mixed berry muffins. (I think I might have mentioned that I'm not a fan of mixed berries but I must say that these muffins are one of my favorites now! James sure has the knack for making excellent muffins. My muffin making skills are another story as Hammy Hamster would say! Remember Hammy Hamster? That was one of my favorite shows. I wonder what good old HH is doing now in hamster heaven.) Oh yes, I'm supposed to be telling you about the specials.
The soup today is lentil.
We have a homemade pork/lamb sausage patty on a ciabatta bun with gruyere and sauteed onion and mushroom for $5.00.
So if you happen to be reading this Hammy Hamster, I miss you and the good old days on the river bank with GP.

So I slept in again!! This time I didn't make it in until 7:30. I'm so bad. I was writing toasted almond omelette on the sandwich board!!!!! I'm feeling really tired today. I think I had too much sleep. I guess tonight I won't go to bed until 3am!
So the omelette today is not toasted almond! We have a spinach and gouda omelette.
The muffins are sold out but they were, toasted almond and chocolate chip.
We have spinach soup.
For your veggies out there we have a sauteed mushroom, onion (you can have it without onion, Renee) and havarti sandwich with soup or salad for $7.00.
The weekend is here and it is your last chance to see the stars. If you happen to see any you should send them over to MG for a cup of the best coffee this side of Parliament.

I've had it! Nobody orders the grilled veg&hummus sandwich anymore so it's coming off the menu! Sorry Lisa.
The soup happens to be another batch of Guinness, potato and mushroom.
The omelet is grilled red pepper and goat cheese.
The muffins have sold out early
I have a sandwich special today, it's pork roasted with peaches, rosemary, garlic and goatcheese. Comes on a toasted baguette with cup of soup or a salad.
My old friend Bryan Kerr is here so I'm off to chat, bye!

So lately I feel like every day is Monday. I slept in again! Finally made it to the restaurant around 7:15. Needless to say I'm off to a rough start! But have you heard we have the best soup ever!
The soup today is potato, mushroom and guiness.
The omelette is sauteed mushroom and havarti.
The muffins are strawberry.
Today we have strawberry pancakes.
Did I tell you that today is strawberry and mushroom theme day!
Don't forget we are closed tomorow!
See you Thursday.

Yeah, yeah I know it's late! I've been busy all morning making the best soup ever made. Well, perhaps the best soup I've ever made, lately. It'll be ready for tomorrow.
The omelet is fresh tomato, fresh herbs and cheddar
The soup is tomato and corn
The muffins are blueberry
We have a lovely sandwich special today, caramelized onion, bacon and Brie cheese on a toasted baguette with soup or salad.
Does anyone out there like our roasted vegetable and hummus sandwich? It doesn't seem to sell and I getting sick of making it if nobody seems to appreciate it.
Remember, tomorrow, best soup ever, for a Tuesday anyway.

It's Friday. I rolled out of bed this morning, farted, and then dragged myself into work. I too wish I could go back to bed on these mornings when that slight chill is in the air.
The omelet today is sauteed Belgian endive and Swiss gruyere and it is considerably neutral.
The soup is roasted squash and yucca, it's hot, spicy and very much involved.
The muffins are banana, and there is nothing witty about a banana in muffin form.
A very wise man once said to me "do something you love and you'll make money in spite of yourself". That man is my father and tomorrow is his birthday. Happy birthday Dad and thanks for the tip!

Is it Monday? It sure the hell feels like it should be. Slept in, rolled out of bed, put my red rain boots on and came to work. It was a little chilly seeing that I just wore my rain boots!!!!! (I'm so funny!)
Wouldn't it be lovely if we could all just go back to bed and listen to the raindrops.
So the rainy day omelette is pesto and tomato.
The muffins are chocolate chip to help pick up your day!
The soup is roasted squash and yucca.
If you would like I could make you a bacon, brie and tomato sarnie for later on!
Try and stay dry today or maybe we should all take a moment and go and jump around in the puddles!

The soup is the same as yesterday
The omelet is cremini mushroom sauteed with fresh oregano and topped with mozarella cheese.
The muffins are blueberry
It's back to school! hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Oh, how I do not miss that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I'll tell you what I do miss though. Lunching on the school cafeteria's fries and gravy followed by cream filled donuts from the vending machine and the most vile coffee every brewed by man. Magic!
I picked up a yucca root the other day and today I plan to discover it's properties and work it into a soup idea I have.
