What the hell is going on? Yesterday was so quiet in here you could hear nothing but the hum of the wasps and the tender drone of Heidi's mixed CD's.
Today you really should come in and have an omelete, which is fresh herbs, green onion and Danish havarti. Or you could have the special sandwich that I sort of nicked the idea of, from Aunties & Uncles. It's bacon, brie, arugula and pear on a toasted ciabatta bun with choice of spicy tomato-rice soup or green salad(now with Boston lettuce and yellow zucchini).
It's Teusday so that means pancakes, banana pancakes.
Best coffee east of Parliament.
My patience is wearing thin, where are all my cherished customers?
Happy Birthday Victoria! Sister #2. I don't think I'm still angry with you for being born and ruining my life and taking away that second trip to Disney World. I'm 33 now and can go there on my own, if business picks up. At this rate I'll be lucky if I can go to the Disney store in the Eaton centre and wander around.
The Olympics are over! Thankfully.

Yay......it's Monday.......blech. Just thought you would like to know that I had one of the worst sleeps ever. What started off as a lovely sleep was interrupted by the horrible fire alarm in my building. Then around 4:30 this morning my precious cat Boo Boo decided to wake me up just for the hell of it I'm sure. (Damn cat, he's so cute! I love him!) Have I told you I'm crazy and really really tired!
So the omelette today is arugula and gruyere.
We have Ontario strawberry muffins (my favorite).
Tomato and rice soup with a kick!
A super yummy bacon, brie, arugula and pear sandwich on a ciabatta bun served with soup or salad for $7.00.
So we say goodbye to the absent minded waitress Michele and say hello to our new waitress Kristan who starts today! So far so good! But it is only 9:15!
Well the extremely tired-walking into walls-falling down the stairs-waitress says have a good day! I'm off to curl up on the bathroom floor for a snooze!
Hi Graham and Yukie! Sounds like you guys had a great time with Ian and Emily in Japan!

The omelette today is mushroom and gouda.
We have 2 zucchini and walnut muffins left.
The soup today is potato and mushroom.
We have a lovely vegetarian pesto pasta salad topped with fresh garden vegetables for a mere $6.00.
Have a good weekend!
Dearest Michele,
I regret to inform you that the job waiting for you in Ottawa has been terminated and that you are to stay and work for us here until you should decide to go back to Europe (with me!). So I guess that means I will see you here on Monday bright eyed and bushy tailed?!

Well all things come to an end eventually. Somethings do however return, Michele is is gone and I'm still here and back on the news detail. See if you notice any changes. Here's the specials for today in twenty words or less.
The omelet is zucchini, fresh chives and Swiss gruyere.
The soup is potato-mushroom
The muffins are mixed berry, doesn't matter which berries, we sold out.
There are no adjectives.

Goodmorning Torontonians!
Contoversy, controversy, controversy! A sad state of events at the Olympics with these 'fluctuating' rude judges, scandals and lack of fair play. Ahh the sad state of the no longer pure Olympics. With the figure skating fraud still fresh in our memories and justice off the map we can see that Athens has not been able to capture the essence of the Olympic spirit. There is no denying that this is a very sad existence for mankind. Oh where oh where is the humanity in it all? My heart goes out to you Kyle Shewfelt. On a much happier note it is another sunnyish day in the mega city and spirits are high as summer days still fill our traffic ladden streets. On another positive note my ability to spell may be soon on the mend as my inclination for the c's and l's in broccoli was correct! Yippee yahoo, no longer am I just a croissant, deja vu and resume speller but I am branching out! I want to thank all the Morning Glory customers and most of all Heidi and James for all being so welcoming, friendly and patient. I have really enjoyed my time at the Glory and will miss it very much. What a great place! So sad that I will be off to resume my office job. Oh dear getting a bit too sentimental perhaps. Better get right to the days digs!
I proudly give you the specials of the day...
Decadent CRANBERRY WALNUT MUFFINS
A beautiful BROCCOLI CHEDDAR OMLETTE
Simmering LENTIL SOUP
Buttery mouth watering BANANA PANCAKES
Wishing all the athletes strength, luck and all the very best. You have Canada's full support!
May you all have a wonderful day and may your upcoming year be filled with a plethora of wonderful surprises! Thank you again. Over and out....the absent minded and now misty waitress, m.

I think you should check it out this weekend and go on as many rides as possible to relieve the stresses of the week! Don't forget to have some Dinkie Donuts and cotton candy!
Saturday you should head down to Lot 16 and listen to the music that Lawrence is spinning! You can check it out at thepopnoir.com. Maybe I will see you there (if I can get my act together!!).
In celebration of it being Friday....
Today's omelette is pesto and tomato.
The muffins are blueberry.
The soup is chilled leek and cucumber.
We have a fabulous chicken curry club on a ciabatta bun with a side soup or tomato salad for $8.00!
Have a great weekend and scream lots when you are on the rides!

Yahoo!!! Yipee!!! Yay!!!
We have our first medal! Am I telepathetic or what!? Way to girls!!! Canadian pride is high as the start of Canadian medal triumphs has been kicked off by the diving divas H2O, Hartley & Heymans. One could say they really plunged to new depths yesterday. They really dove right in and got their feet wet. We are proud of you and wish all the athletes sweltering in Athens the very best of luck in acheiving their personal best! Speaking of personal best I think I may be on that route myself! I was fortunate enough to have a real hand in the completion of the muffins of the day! How fun! Thank you Heidi....If I do say so myself I have come along way from not being able to slice toast. We all need to be proud of our accomplishments however big or small... so take a moment and take just one aspect of how wonderful you are and celebrate it...or challenge yourself! Yup I'd say those therapy dollars are well worth it! I could be (is it) Lucy on peanuts who sets up her 5 cent therapy sign outdoors, I already know how to write in large primary school letters so I am obviously more than half way there, my advice would not be worse then hers....calling all Linus'! Oh dear once again the crazy one just got carried away with no further ado I give you the specials....
Heidi's magnificently delicious & fluffy PLUM PANCAKES
Superbly simmering SPINACH SOUP
Exotic EMU SAUSAGES
Scrumptious TOMATO BASIL & BRIE OMLETTE
CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS baked with tender love & care
Wishing you all a wonderful day! Enjoy the sun, slight breeze and being alive in the only city in the world where you can chill out @ styl'n Morning Glory! Coolest business cards the world has ever seen, fun staff, hip stainless steel and lime green and the best food ever! In the wise words of the Muppet Show's Swedish chef "Orshka borshka borshhh"!

Happy Monday fellow Canadians!
It is yet another Monday in the city and summer is slowly coming to a close. All the sad signs are here....ads for the EX, Ontario peaches available in stores and the bitter sweet bright red maple leaf is making an appearance. Ahh just as we get used to one season another is peeking behind the next cumulous. Hopefully filled with a silver lining and will bring us a long and warm Indian summer. I am sure of it! Just as I am sure that today will be the day that brings Canadian athletes luck and triumph. Proud of all their accomplishments, what a dream to even make it to the Olympics. Go Canada go!
The specials include...
A delightful, warm SPINACH SOUP
Tasty ARUGULA & CHEDDAR OMLETTE
Exotic and rather healthy EMU SAUSAGES
Seasonal field BERRY MUFFINS
May you all have a wonderful day! Hope to see you soon!
Cheers!

I just get back from vacation and I'm already planning my next one! Any suggestions? I'm thinking that it would be nice to go to New York. I do love it there and I miss it so. But I must stay focused and let you know what the specials are!
The omelette today is guacamole, jalepeno and cheddar. (some have said it is better than any they have had in town)
The muffins are fresh Ontario wild blueberries (hand picked by Pekaa's mom. Thank you!).
The soup today is gazpacho! (hehehe)
We also have a yummy mushroom ragu served on our ciabatta bun with a side soup or salad for $7.00.
So it's the end of the week for you lucky people! Do something special for yourself!
I've been having cravings for sweets and I think I shall go to the market after work and buy myself a treat! Maybe even a really nice dark chocolate bar!

Hio blog readers! Top of the morning to ya!
I shall keep it short today in order that my spelling mistakes (in particuliar the francofacation of words) is kept to a minimum. Spelling has become a challenge for me after my year away and it seems as though a few of you have taken to making fun of me. I won't lie, the laughter and infractious words, the pointing and the mocking hurt and likely have caused some permanent damage....you will be receiving bills for my therapy. You know who you are meanies :)
A high of my day yesterday was touring the stunning, professional and totally creative MiMa business across the street. Wow those girls are hip and their stuff rocks, I highly urge you all to stop over and make the world a more artistic and creative place by treating yourself or a friend to their stationary and using their services! Too cool... or as the French say hypercool!
The specials are GOOD today! I proudly present a diverse and appetizing array of choices for your discerning palates...
Enjoy a protein rich HAVARTI LEEK OMELETTE
Delightful Ontario PEACH PANCAKES
Marvelous CRANBERRY WALNUT MUFFINS
Tantalizing chilled CUCUMBER & DILL SOUP
Hope to see (the nice non mean spirited Morning Glory customers) soon!
The absent minded and emotionally scarred waitress signs off...

Happy Monday!
Not too hot, not too cool, that is what I call a fine morning in the mega city! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.... as the summer sadly does not last forever in this Northern culturally diverse but way too modern climate. We can make this place a bit better by being more European so buy a bagette or two and carry them under your armpit, say salut, bonjour, ciao, gutentag, wear the same clothes as yesterday, be more relaxed and cool, smile and enjoy life, have that perfect air of confidence that could border on arrogance...and order an expresso at 457 King East! Okay, okay so I have pangs of missing Europe, darn that Discovery channel covering Barcelona and Italy! While on the train of thought of Europe, congrats to Mauresmo on her tennis victory in the second largest French speaking city of the world, Canada's very own Montreal. Vive la France!
Spent the week in ThunderBay clipping the edge of an imacculate lawn with scissors, holy cow each and every edge of lawn is comprised of a gazillion blades of grass. Needless to say it was a quirky get away...
Before I forget kudos to Mr Roeder! What a stylish, practical, and darn right cool piece if carpentry with the custom designed, one of a kind menu holder, well done! Come on in and check it out, the man is a master of woodwork!
So before I am taken away to a mental institution I proudly give you the specials of the day...drum roll please...
Fresh all Canadian, home grown B.C. field BLUEBERRY MUFFINS
Styl'n chilled LEEK & TOMATO SOUP
A gourmet GOAT CHEESE, FRESH HERBE and ARUGULA OMLETTE
The absent minded, day dreaming, and odd waitress signs off on yet another morning at the Glory....
