There is a squirrel in the neighbourhood who is bald on the top half of his body and has the normal amount of hair on the bottom half. He is not the best looking squirrel. I wonder what happened to make him that way.

The specials today are:
Mixed herb, cheddar and truffle oil omelette
Potato mushroom soup
A quite exciting sandwich special - a smoked trout salad sandwich, on your choice of toasted ciabatta bun or sourdough (and that is homemade-smoked trout, smoked right here out back of the restaurant)
Organic muffins - blueberry or apple/rhubarb
Organic chocolate-chip cookies

On the subject of strange-looking neighbourhood animals, if you have not yet heard about the "mysterious tunnel monster" of Cabbagetown, you might come in and read the article we have up on the board here. A paranormal creature apparently worthy of comparison with the Loch Ness monster or
the Yeti, it was sighted in a Cabbagetown neighbourhood tunnel in the summer of 1978 and is
described as about three feet tall, with long teeth, slate grey fur and fiery red eyes. James has suggested a springtime search for it in the local tunnel system.
