Speaking of cans of worms, yesterday our Douglas got stuck on the gardiner expressway for almost two hours on his way back from the farmers market. The whole time he couldn't relax, just sit in the car and enjoy the nice weather becuase he really had to take a whiz. Oh dear and to make things worse I had neglected to tell him that the gas tank was near empty and that it should've been filled BEFORE he went to the market. I suppose he could've solved all his problems by just getting out right there on the highway and pissing in the gas tank. Truthfully, I was the one really inconvienced. Around the time Doug was wondering what was gonna go first, the car or his bladder, the lunch rush was on at MG and I was rapidly running out of tomatoes and lettuce.
the omelet is roasted red pepper and asiago cheese
the muffins were banana
the soup is chickpea masala
we have a croque monsiuer(my appologies to the French) which is Mennonite ham, Gruyere cheese and dijon on grilled sesame bread for $6 (seriously, I appologise to the French, it really must be tough being French)
This weekend come to Morning Glory for our waffle and sausage patty special. I'm told it's fantastic. Belgian style waffles and farmers sausage topped with banana-blueberry compote and served with real maple syrup.
Doug looks visibly less shaken today and should be himself by tomorrow
